Alan Koss

Alan Koss was an actor. Born 1 October 1938 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Koss graduated from Boston University. He began his acting career in the 70s, starting by doing theatre around the Boston area.

His first film role was in the film "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" in 1973. He also appeared in "Assault on Precinct 13". In addition to film, he worked in television movies and guest-acted in several TV series. He was in "The Ropers", "Cagney and Lacey", "Highway to Heaven", "The Golden Girls", and "L.A. Law". He has also done some voice acting.

In Cheers, he played Alan, one of the background barflies. He appeared in episodes throughout the series run.

He has also done considerable charity work, raising money for several national charities, such as the March of Dimes, the Red Cross, and the Special Olympics.

Alan is married to his wife June, and has two children. He is an avid golfer.

Alan passed on November 10, 2018.
