Trivia and Notes[]

  • St. Clete's School for Girls has been mentioned as Carla's alma mater a few times, starting with "The Tortelli Tort" in Season 1.
  • This was filmed after the death of Nicholas Colasanto, as such Coach does not appear.
  • Nicholas Colasanto was not allowed by a doctor to appear in the episode, so he watched the rehearsals from the bleachers. For the cast, this was the last time they saw Colasanto alive. According to Shelley Long, "I remember looking up and he was in the stands for a while watching us rehearse. Then the next time I looked up, he was gone."
  • The title is based on the song "The Bells of St. Mary's" written by A. Emmett Adams, the lyrics by Douglas Furber in 1917 and was revived in 1945 for the movie musical of the same name starring Ingrid Bergman and Bing Crosby and sung by Mr. Crosby.
